The National Population Commission-NPC has re-iterated its commitment to conducting a precise, inclusive and credible digital census.

Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the Commission, Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi stated this in continuation of her state-wide sensitization visit to Kachia and Kajuru LGAs.

Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi explained that accurate housing and population data provide an indispensable information to government in order to formulate effective policies and interventions.

She advocated for a concerted community-wide effort to ensure every resident is informed, prepared and ultimately counted.

The Federal Commissioner encouraged the youths to actively participate in the census process, as recruitment and training of enumerators would be directly from within the Local Government Councils to ensure effective community engagement.

In their separate remarks Executive Chairmen of Kachia and Kajuru LGAs, Dr Manzo Daniel and Dauda Madaki pledged their full commitment to upscaling and prioritizing birth and death registrations in their areas.
