Federal Government has been urged to review its policies in order to promote democratic governance and move the nation forward.

A former Chairperson of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB, Mrs. Lydia Utoo, made the appeal in response to public complaints about certain policies that have caused unnecessary hardship.

Mrs. Lydia Utoo noted that the taxes imposed by the present administration, despite the removal of fuel subsidy, should have a human face as expected in a democracy, in order to justify the sacrifices of the citizenry.

She expressed hope that every effort would be made to address the challenges and adopt measures that could bring succour to people across the country, free from sentiments.

The E-x SUBEB Chairperson also observed that the nation’s abundant resources have yet to be fully harnessed, and she called for patriotism, fear of God, and commitment to the effective utilisation of these resources for socio-economic development.
