Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to deepening partnerships with development organisations as the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) pledged continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

‎Receiving a delegation from UNICEF Nigeria led by its Country Representative, Ms. Wafaa Saeed Abdelatef, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the Vice President described UNICEF’s renewed commitment as timely and strategic.

He noted that President Tinubu’s administration is driving legacy projects in health, nutrition, human capital development, and education with uncommon determination.

‎According to the Vice President, initiatives such as the Nutrition 774 Programme, Economic and Financial Inclusion Strategy, and the Nutrition Intervention Fund reflect the administration’s deliberate investment in youth, health, and the education sector.

He commended UNICEF for its long-standing partnership and stressed that Nigeria counts on the agency’s expertise to add value to government reforms aimed at lifting millions out of poverty.

‎Shettima said Nigeria is witnessing positive signs of economic recovery, with reforms already yielding results, adding that the administration remains focused on creating a stable environment where citizens can fully benefit from democracy.

‎On her part, UNICEF’s Country Representative Ms Abdullatef praised the government’s vision and leadership, highlighting recent interventions in nutrition, human capital development, and girl-child education.

She assured that UNICEF will continue to align with the administration’s priorities to help achieve its development goals.

‎The Vice President expressed confidence that with President Tinubu’s courageous leadership and UNICEF’s partnership, Nigeria is on course to deliver meaningful dividends of democracy and accelerate progress in critical sectors.
