Stakeholders in Jigawa State have raises concern over the poor condition of some of federal government roads abandoned without completion in the state.

They raised the concern while commenting at sensitization campaign on Tinubu administration’s mid-term report organised by the Federal Ministry of Information, held at Federal secretariat, Dutse.

Among the roads including, Kwanar Dumawa to Babura Gaya-Jahun- Kafin Hausa road causing different kinds of accidents resulting the lost of lives and properties of innocent citizens.

They explained that Federal Government has re-awarded the contract for the construction of the two federal roads in Jigawa state since 2020 but the projects were abandoned without completion.

Responding, Head of Federal Information Centre, Dutse, Jigawa State Bashir Galadanchi said the aim of the sensitisation campaign is to highlight achievements recorded under President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and received citizens reaction on their needs and demands from Federal Government.

He said the event gives citizens opportunity to channel their demands to Federal Government.

According to him ” Our door is always open for any groups or individuals who want to forward citizens demands to Federal Government ” he said.

He assured that all the demands will be compiled and channel to the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation for appropriate action.

Earlier, speaking, Mr. Mubarak Adamu Cisse Guest speaker at the event in his paper titled ” The Northwest Milestone” highlighted some of the achievements recorded under President Bola Ahmad Tinubu’s administration.

According to him ” within just two years of present administration, the country has recorded tremendous success including establishment of five reginal Development Commission,
presidential loan and Grant scheme, Students loan scheme, road projects, ₦70,000 minimum wage elimination of over 13,000 terrorists among others”

Mr. Cisse added that the present administration has also shown commitment to improving the livelihoods of farmers and boosting agricultural productivity.
