In celebration of Eid al-Adha, the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly KSHA, Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, has joined the Muslim Ummah across the globe in marking the blessed occasion.
Speaking earlier today, the Speaker expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for the gift of life and the opportunity to witness yet another Eid, describing it as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and unity.
He highlighted the enduring lessons of devotion and obedience embodied by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son, Prophet Ismail (AS), urging the faithful to embrace the values of love, compassion, and solidarity during this sacred period.
Rt. Hon. Liman also called on the people of Kaduna State to continue supporting the administration of Governor Uba Sani, commending the governor’s commitment to the development and prosperity of the state.
He prayed for peace, good health, and unity across Nigeria, and offered special prayers for the pilgrims currently performing Hajj, asking Allah to accept their worship and grant them a safe return.
The Speaker concluded his message with “Eid Mubarak to all. May this season bring peace and blessings to our homes and our nation,” he said.
Earlier in his sermon after the two Raka’at prayer, the Chief Imam of Makera Central Mosque, Sheikh Jibril Ibrahim Maihanji admonished Muslim faithful to observe islamic tenet according to laid down regulations, to attract extra reward from the Creator.
Sheikh Jibril Maihanji used the sermon to called on governments at all levels to create job opportunities to teeming youths in the country, as a panacea to social vices and crimes.
The Chief Imam also advised youths to seek for both western and islamic education, in addition to learning skills acquisition, to become productive members of the society.
The Eid prayer was attended by hundreds of Muslims within Makera and environs.
