The Deputy President of the Senate, Barau I Jibrin, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unprecedented support for education and infrastructural development in Kano State and the wider Northwest region.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo, Senator Barau expressed gratitude to the President for approving the conversion of the Federal Polytechnic, Kabo to a Federal University.

The event was attended by hundreds of APC supporters, who stood in ovation for President Tinubu’s second-term agenda.

They passed votes of confidence on the President, believing that his love for the Kano North Senatorial District is enough to secure their votes for his continuation in office beyond 2027.

Senator Barau highlighted the President’s achievements in education, including the approval of a Federal University of Science and Technology in Kabo and another Federal Polytechnic in the same area.

He praised the President’s understanding of education as the bedrock of development and applauded him for ensuring the region is not left behind.

The Senator described President Tinubu as a responsive leader who has never turned down any development proposal from the region.

He also recounted how the President reversed a controversial decision to remove the upgrade status of Yusuf Maitama Sule University to a federal university of education.

The commissioning of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo, is a significant milestone in federal support for higher education in Kano State.

Senator Barau’s praise for President Tinubu’s support is a testament to the President’s commitment to education and infrastructural development in the region.
