The All Progressives Congress (APC) may intervene in the delayed payment of arrears owed to federal pensioners.

Liaison Officer of the House of Representatives at the party’s National Secretariat, Alhaji Garba Garba Chede, made this known in a telephone interview in Abuja.

Alhaji Garba Chede, who expressed concern over the prolonged delay, welcomed recent steps taken towards the settlement of the debts, which he described as unfortunate.

He assured that complaints of the retired workers would be forwarded to the national Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for necessary actions to alleviate their sufferings.

The liaison officer was however dismayed that the National Union of Pensioners had not visited the secretariat to present their grievances considering their sacrifices to the nation while stressing the need for stakeholders to seek the implementation of presidential directive on such issue.
