He said, “To the people of Anka and neighboring areas, this project represents the fulfillment of one of our promises to deliver the dividends of democracy and improve citizens’ well-being.”

Dr.lawal pointed out that, the comprehensive renovation covered several key areas, including the GOPD/Old Admin Block, Male Ward, Female Ward, Pharmacy Block, New Gate Fence, and a link corridor connecting the Female Ward, X-ray, and Theatre Block. New structures were also constructed for the Accident and Emergency Unit, Laboratory, Eye and Dental Clinic, and Maternity/Old Laboratory Ward.

In a remark, the Zamfara State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nafisa Maradun, commended Governor Lawal for the remarkable strides made in revamping the state’s healthcare system within his two years in office.

“The complete renovation and equipping of this facility reflect the governor’s unwavering dedication to ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for all Zamfara residents,”

Dr. Maradun emphasized that the transformation of the General Hospital Anka would significantly enhance the availability and quality of healthcare services in the region.
