Federal Pensioners have expressed concern over alleged inefficiency of the “I am alive” screening introduced by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate “PTAD”.

The Retirees complained in various comments of hardship encountered during the exercise which qualifies them for monthly pension.

They noted that such exercise described as cumbersome should be reviewed to alleviate their sufferings while renewing IPO for payment of outstanding arrears promised last month.

A retired police commissioner Alhaji Abubakar Mairamri who spent four days for the exercise blamed PTAD for engaging consultants rather than its officials who should be properly trained to address the challenges.

When contacted, Public Relations Officer of the directorate Mr. Olugbenga Ajayi attributed the challenges to network failure which had been rectified and urged the senior citizens to exercise patience.
