Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), Professor Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi, has officially handed over the leadership of the institution to the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Aminu Ado, following the expiration of his tenure.

The handing over ceremony which took place at the University take off campus in Dutsinma, Katsina State witnessed the the presence of the University’s management team, lectures, students and well wishers from the university’s community.

Speaking shortly after signing the handing over documents, the outgoing vice Chancellor Professor Bichi urged the management team and the lecturers to maintain the integrity and dignity of the institution and to redouble their effort to make the university to excel in academic activities.

He commended the effort of the management team, staff, students, academic and non academic staff for the support and cooperation given to him during his tenure as the vice Chancellor of the university and urged them to give similar gesture to the acting Vice Chancellor.

Earlier in his presentation at the event, the visiting lecturer from the Federal University Dutse Professor Yusuf Yahaya Deeni who is also the mentor of the outgoing VC, described Professor Bichi as a person with good character, hardworking, and dedicated who is working tirelessly to achieve the institutional goals.

He said Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi will continue be remembered as the vice Chancellor who developed FUDMA to a reality today and uplift the standard of teaching and learning in the institution.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of gifts to the outgoing Vice Chancellor Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi by the staff of the university, community members and other well wishers as well as the official handing over of the mantle of leadership to the DVC Academic Professor Aminu Ado in actin capacity.
