The member representing Edu, Moro, and Pategi Federal Constituency in Kwara State, Hon. Ahmad Adamu Saba, has commended the strong synergy between the Kwara State Government and security agencies in the fight against Mahmudawa, a breakaway faction of Boko Haram.

Alhaji Ahmad Saba stated that the recent successful arrest of suspects in the state was a clear indication of the effective collaboration between the state government, its proactive approach, and the efforts of the military joint task force.

He commended the efforts of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State by given the joint Tax force the required support needed to discharge their constitutional duties in the state diligently.

Ahmad Saba noted that the current security situation is beyond the government alone and urged all well-meaning Nigerians to give their full support by providing security agencies with accurate and credible information to help them succeed in their efforts.

He stated that the recent arrest of twelve suspected members of the breakaway Boko Haram group in the state can be attributed to the support provided by the state government to the military, as well as their strong commitment to combating insurgency.

According to him, without such commitment and political will from the leadership, the army might not have been able to record such a significant success.

He urged Nigerians to extend similar support to security agencies in order to curb the menace of criminal activities across the country.

The lawmaker further advised the government to involve traditional institutions in maintaining law and order, noting that these institutions play a vital role in identifying strangers, monitoring their activities, and providing crucial information that could help in the fight against insurgency.

He maintained that in Kwara State, traditional institutions were actively supporting security personnel in the discharge of their duties, while affirming that, incorporating and supporting these institutions would greatly aid in maintaining law and order, as well as promoting peace and security in Nigeria, especially in rural areas.
