The Public Relations Department of the Jigawa State Police Command has congratulated to the newly elected officials of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Jigawa State Chapter.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the Command praised the peaceful and democratic conduct of the election, describing it as a reflection of the professionalism and unity within the NUJ.
The Command notes that the emergence of the new leadership is a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in them by their colleagues and expressed optimism for continued collaboration between the media and law enforcement.
“As partners in progress, we look forward to working together to promote accurate information, responsible journalism, and mutual understanding that supports peace and security across the state,” the statement read.
The Police Command wished the new executives a successful and impactful tenure as they take on the responsibility of leading the journalism community in Jigawa State.
