A member of the House of Representatives representing Suleja, Tafa, Gurara Federal constituency from Niger state, Adamu Tanko Lokoja ATL, has officially announced his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
Announcing his defection together with party supporters at the APC secretariat Minna, the law maker said his decision to defect to the ruling party, was motivated by the purposeful leadership and the developmental projects executed by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago in all the nooks and crannies of Niger state.
Adamu Tanko Lokoja maintained that democracy is all about good governance by way of delivering the true dividends of democracy to the electorates, and according to him that is exactly what Governor Umar Bago stood for, and therefore should be encouraged and supported by all and sundry to do more.
He said the pragmatic leadership of Niger state Chairman of APC Aminu Musa Bobi and that of the Special Adviser to the Niger State Governor, Political and Strategy Mohammed Nma Kolo also inspired him to defect to APC to enable him contribute his quota to the attainment of New Niger agenda of Governor Umar Bago, which he said is possible.
In his goodwill message, Speaker Niger state House of Assembly Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin daji described the defection of the law maker to APC as a blessing to them and implored him to use his political influence to settle the differences between the people of Suleja Emirate Council for the party to wax stronger in future election.
Inaugurating Admu Tanko Lokoja to p!arty loyalists and supporters, State Chairman of APC, Aminu Musa Bobi explained that the execution of projects in parts of Niger state by Governor Bago has made it easy for them to project the party with high level of acceptability and success.

Special Adviser to the Niger state Governor, Political and Strategy, Mohammed Nma Kolo commended party members and the people of Niger state, for their prayers and massive support to the administration of Governor Umar Bago and called for more to succeed.
State Commissioner of Information and Strategy Hajiya Binta Mamman said the people of Suleja Emirate are one hundred percent behind the defection of the law maker to the APC and stressed the need for them to work collectively to enhance their unity for the good of all.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of six vehicles by Adamu Tanko Lokoja across the party.
