Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has inaugurated the principal officers of the National Medical Team in preparation for the 2025 Hajj operations.
The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Umar Ahmed Labbo, made this known during the inauguration ceremony held in Dutse, the state capital.
He explained that the board had inaugurated a 10-member medical team and urged them to serve the state’s pilgrims in Saudi Arabia with sincerity, patience, and unwavering dedication.
Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo said the assignment is a sacred trust that the team should not take for granted.
He commended Governor Umar Namadi for approving the team, pointing out that, this is the first time the state is sending such number of medical personnel for the foreign assignment.
He stressed the divine nature of the team’s selection and the need to protect the welfare of Jigawa’s pilgrims throughout the exercise.
In his remarks, the head of the media team Abdulrashid Yusuf, called on the members of the team to discharge their duties diligently, with a strong sense of responsibility and the fear of Allah.
Yusuf, commended the state government for upscaling the numbers of the medical team to 10.
