The Chairman of the South-West zone of the National Union of Pensioners has advised retired workers across the country to intensify prayers for the settlement of their arrears.

Comrade Mukaila Ogunbote, reacting to the delayed payment of last month’s pension, expressed concern over reports that the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate PTAD had not received the necessary funds.

He noted that investigations into the issue revealed that the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation was yet to release the required funds, despite repeated visits by the Executive Secretary, Miss Tolulope Odunaiya.
