Federal Government has been advised to take all necessary steps to address the persistent power crisis across the country.

Callers on FRCN Kaduna’s Karama FM programme KAKAKI gave the advice while contributing to a discussion on the long-standing electricity shortage.

They expressed concern over the continued insistence of electricity distribution companies on monthly bill payments despite their failure to provide consistent power supply.

Alhaji Musan Garo Kawo, Murtala Sa’idu and Yalli Aliyu noted that lack of regular power supply has affected socio economic development nationwide despite huge expenditure on the sector.

Guest on the programme, Alhaji suleiman Mohammed who blamed corruption for the problem, stressed the need for regulatory agencies to act accordingly to meet aspiration of the people.
