In celebration of the 2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has pledged stronger action to safeguard workers’ health and safety across the state.

In a statement, the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, said the Governor highlighted workplace safety as a key priority under his administration’s 12-point development agenda.

During a meeting with the management team of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund NSITF, Namadi assured that Jigawa would intensify partnerships to reduce accidents and promote better working conditions.

NSITF Branch Manager Fateh Abdulkadir Kafi urged the state to deepen collaboration with his agency, stressing the global importance of occupational safety.
