The Progressive Governors’ Forum of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has welcomed the defection of Delta State Governor, Oborevwori Okowa, and other political figures from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP to the APC.

Chairman of the forum and Imo state Governor Hope Uzodinma In a statement gave this indication shortly after an emergency meeting of the progressive APC Governors in Abuja.

Hope Uzodinma described the development as well thought out move considering the massive transformation, infrastructural development and economic achievement recorded under the leadership of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.

Hope also believed that this wise decision by their colleagues who were not produced by the ruling party initially would boost the ruling party APC and the renewed hope agenda of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to redouble efforts in ensuring meaningful and sustainable development for the Nation to move forward in the next two years.

” part of the decision taken by the progressive Governors forum this evening, is to congratulate ourselves, as some of our colleagues that were not produced by our party have seen the great achievements and efforts of the Federal Government under president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and decided to join so that together we can built a more United and prosperous Nigeria ”

The chairman of the forum further assured that the ruling party has taken the issue of sub-national governance very seriously, considering that governors are the leaders of their states and serve as good ambassadors of the Federal Government.

He, therefore, said that the their defection to the ruling APC was regarded as a positive step in the socio-economic development of the entire country.

Hope Uzodinma, however assured that the ruling party would continue to upper good services to Nigerians for more and well meaning Citizens to join the party for sustainable development in the country.
