The Federal Government has been urged to extend the construction of the Zaria–Malumfashi dual carriageway to Daura in Katsina State.

A philanthropist and traditional ruler in Katsina State, Alhaji Abdullahi Ya’u Danmalikin Kafur, made the appeal while inspecting the road construction in Kafur town, expressing satisfaction with the progress of the work.

He said that if the road construction is extended from Malumfashi to Gidan Mutum Daya, passing through Kusada, Ingawa, and Dutsi LGAs up to Daura, it would significantly boost socio-economic development in the area.

The traditional ruler commended the efforts of the Katsina State Government and the Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Masari, for their tireless commitment to ensuring the commencement of the project.

He then called on the people in the area to continue to support the present administration good policies and programmes for peace and development.
