Jigawa State Government has announced plans to provide vehicles to principals of senior secondary schools across the state.
The Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Isa Yusuf Chamo, disclosed this during a meeting with the principals of senior secondary schools in Dutse.
According to him, senior secondary school staff quarters will be renovated to ease accommodation problem for teaching and none teaching staff.
Professor Chamo who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Education, Malam Abdullahi Hudu, said the meeting was aimed to discuss the preparation of school resumption in the state.
He explained that, the state government has given top priority to education sector due to its importance to the development of the state.
The Commissioner pointed out that, the state government has employed 7000 teachers to improve learning process in schools, adding that J-Cook will be employed to further strengthen school management.
In their separate remarks, some of the school Directors and Principals called for the review of school over head costs, provision of computers and its accessories, bail out and posting of teachers for improved service delivery.
