The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has denies the introduction of two new denominations N5,000 and N10,000 notes in purported circular.

In a statement, the bank described the circular online as “fake” via its official handle on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the alleged circular, the new notes were set to be in circulation from May 1.

However, the bank refuted the claims, urging the public to verify information through its official website.
