Federal Government has been urged to appoint credible individuals as pension administrators to curb alleged misconduct that harms retired workers in the country.

Retirees of the FRCN and NTA Kaduna made this appeal in response to alleged inefficiencies by PTAD and PENCOM, citing concerns over ulterior motives.

They expressed concern over inability of the two organisations to address lingering issues of pensioners which cause untold hardship to the retirees without clear guidelines on how to solve the problems.

One of the retirees, Alhaji Shehu Abbas recalled various allocations made for payment of Pensioners benefits particularly monthly increase and fuel subsidy removal palliatives yet to be duly paid as directed by the federal government.

Alhaji Shehu Abbas stressed the need for recovery of such funds and others looted by some public officials to settle outstanding arrears of the senior citizens.
