President Bola Tinubu has flagged off the construction of the access road to the 2nd Niger Bridge, assuring that the project will boost trade, enhance connectivity, and improve road safety for communities in Delta State and the South-East region.

At the ceremony,the President said the project demonstrates his administration’s commitment to accelerating infrastructural development and economic growth.

The President, represented by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure development as a catalyst for economic growth.

Oborevwori emphasized that for Nigeria to emerge as a global economic powerhouse, modernizing infrastructure was crucial.

”As we flag off the construction of Phase 2A of the access road to the 2nd Nigeria Bridge, I want to commend the government of Delta State and Anambra State for their cooperation and support.”

”This kinds of partnership and synergy are imperative for trust, good governance, national cohesion and sustainable development “

”Let me use this opportunity to appeal to motorists to exercise calm and patience , and cooperate with the contractor during this construction process”, stated President Tinubu.

Reaffirming the administration’s dedication to completing major projects inherited from previous governments, Minister of Works David Umahi assured Nigerians of continued progress on critical infrastructure.

Traditional rulers from the benefiting communities—including Asaba, Oko-Amakun, Okwe, Ibusa, Okpanam, and Issele-Azagba—expressed gratitude, describing the project as transformative for their people.

A representative of the construction firm assured that the road will be built to high standards using reinforced concrete pavement, ensuring durability and longevity
