Governors of Kano State, Malam Kabir Abba Yusuf, and Jigawa State, Alhaji Umar Namadi, joined numerous dignitaries to pay their final respects to the mother of Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda.

The burial rites which took place today at Radda Village in Charanchi Local Government Area Katsina State also had prominent government officials and traditional rulers in attendance.

State government officials present included Deputy Governor Mallam Faruq Lawal Jobe, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura is accompanied by legislators, Secretary to the Government of the State Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, members of the State Executive Council, and Head of Civil Service Alhaji Falaliu Bawale.

Others in attendance are the former State Deputy Governor Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi, Executive Director of Agricultural Services at Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority Alhaji Muntaka Badaru Jikamshi, and the Emirs of Katsina and Daura, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman and Alhaji Faruq Umar Faruq, respectively.

The State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Sani Aliyu, council Chairmen and district heads were also present at the ceremony.

The funeral prayer, which drew a large gathering of Muslim sympathizers, was led by the Chief Imam of Katsina Central Mosque, Imam Gambo Mustapha, while the elder brother of the governor and village head of Radda Alhaji Kabir Umar who is receiving the condolence messages on behalf of the family.

The gathering fervently prayed to Allah to grant the deceased Aljannatul Fridaus.
