The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps-NSCDC has solicited for continuous support and co-operation of Nigerians in tackling security challenges.

Kaduna State Commandant of the corps, Nuhu Bello Muhammad made the call while addressing personnel, shortly after a road walk in commemoration of this year’s International Civil Defence Day held in Kaduna.

The Commandant Nuhu Bello Muhammad noted that security was fundamental in any society, which without it, development and prosperity cannot thrive.

He explained that through intelligence gathering, community collaboration and strategic partnerships, the NSCDC had made significant progress in combating banditry, communal conflicts and vandalism.

The Commandant praised personnel for their tireless efforts in ensuring safety in communities, and charged them to re-dedicate themselves to the core values of integrity and professionalism.

Commandant Nuhu Bello Muhammad also commended Governor Uba Sani, and Commandant-General of the Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi for their continuous support to officers, to effectively carry out their duties.
