Professor Kamilu Fagge

Elected leaders have been advised to respect judicial decisions to uphold democracy in the country.

A lecturer at Bayero University Kano, Professor Kamilu Fagge, gave the advice in Kaduna, expressing dismay over alleged violations of court orders on political matters.

He raised concerns about Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State proceeding with local government elections despite a court injunction.

Professor Fagge warned that the continued disregard for court rulings by elected leaders, who have sworn to uphold the nation’s constitution and the rule of law, poses a serious threat to democratic governance.
