The Zamfara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the welfare and security of corps members deployed to the state.

Governor Dr. Dauda Lawal made this assurance at the closing ceremony of the Orientation Course Programme for the 2024 Batch C Stream II corps members in Zamfara.

Dr Lawal urged them to embrace hard work and contribute meaningfully to the socioeconomic development of the state.

He also assured the corps members that his administration would provide a safe environment for them to serve and thrive.

Dr Lawal also assured corps member that, who ever distinguish himself in the service year would be duly recognize and rewarded.

Earlier, Zamfara State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Tasi’u Musa Shinkafi advise corps members to remain committed in their places of various primary assignment as well as to involve themselves in different skills acquisition program so as to be self reliance after a one year national service.

In a remark, the Coordinator of NYSC in Zamfara, Muhammad Lawan applauded the effort of the state government for it’s determination in providing all necessary arrangements for the well being of corps members.

He pointed out that, the corps members have acquired skills in various areas such as ICT, agro-allied business, ceramics and construction, food processing, fashion designing among others.

Mr Muhammad Lawan also revealed that, through NYSC active collaboration with funding institutions such as Bank of Agriculture, Bank of Industry, among other reputable organizations, the Corps Members would be able to access loans to transform their business ideas and skills into thriving businesses inorder to become self-reliant.

He congratulated the 2024 Batch C Stream II Corps Members on the successful conclusion of the Orientation programme and urged them to imbibe and make good use of all what they have learnt while on the Camp.

Mr Muhammad Lawan appeal to stakeholders to continue according all the necessary assistance and support as the corps members were deployed to places of their primary assignment.

He commended Zamfara State government, all the security agencies and camps officials for their dedication and support towards the success of the orientation camp.
