The Correspondent’s chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Kebbi State, has elected new executives to man the activities of the chapel for the next three years.
Kabiru Amiru Wurma of the Leadership news paper was elected as the chairman, Olarewaju Lawal of the Sun newspaper to serve as the secretary, Aminu Umar of Legacy newspaper as the Treasurer while Binta Aliyu Abdullahi to serve as the Assistant Secretary.
In a congratulatory message, the National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Alhassan Abdullahi, advised the new executives to uphold the viture of the profession and asto be fair and just to the members of the chapel by carrying everyone alone.
The Chairman of the State Council, Comrade Bello Sarki Abubakar, congratulated the immediate past executive of the chapel on a successful tenure.
He commended them for organizing a smooth election that ushered in a new set of executives to lead the chapel.
Comrade Bello Sarki Abubakar also urged the newly elected executives to uphold the NUJ constitution while managing the chapel’s affairs.
The election was held under the supervision of the State Council Secretary, Comrade Ismail Adebayo.
