Jigawa state Government has reiterated its commitment to partner with a private firm to boost Date fruits and wheat cultivation in the state.

Governor Umar Namadi gave the assurance when he received the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Dr. Abubakar Musa Bamai and his entourage in his office at the government house Dutse.

He explained that, the state Government is ready to partner with any organization willing to support the wellbeing of the people and economic growth of the state.

According to him, Jigawa is well known in Date fruits and wheat cultivation in the country, expressing the state readiness to use modern farming techniques to boost agriculture.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm Dr. Abubakar Musa Bamai said, they were in Dutse to discuss ways of collaboration with the state government in establishing Date fruit plantations and the improvement of wheat cultivation through the use of modern technology.

According to him, the plantations will comprised four verities of date fruits that would enable the state to start exporting the commodity instead of domestic use.
