Nigerian Education Loan Fund , NELFUND  has provided financial support to six hundred thousand students amounting to one hundred and four billion naira towards strengthening the education sector.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stated this at the forty second Founders Day and thirty third Convocation Ceremony of Federal University of Technology Minna held at the Gidan Kwano Campus Minna.

Represented by the Director Universities, Federal Ministry of Education, Hajiya Rakiya Gambo Iliyasu, President Tinubu said the gesture has demonstrated his administration resolve in providing quality education that is affordable and accessible to all.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu however explained that the NELFUND programme is aimed at providing financial support to students, bridging the gap between financial challenges and access to higher education.

In a remarks, Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago who was conferred with honorary in Agriculture by the University said his administration is always ready and willing to collaborate with individuals and groups to make education accessible to every citizen.

Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Minna, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, explained that the event marks four decades of excellence in Science, Engineering and Innovation at the Institution.
