The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has sealed United Nigerian Textiles Limited (UNTL) due to outstanding revenue liabilities amounting to ₦1.2 billion.
During the enforcement exercise in Kaduna, Hajiya Aysha Ahmed, Board Secretary and Legal Adviser of KADIRS, stated that the unpaid liabilities include taxes owed to KADIRS, ground rent to KADGIS, fire service fees to KADSEMA, environmental protection and impact assessment charges to KEPA, and business premises fees to MBIT, among other state taxes and levies.
She explained that the revenue service had secured a court order for the immediate closure and takeover of the company’s properties until all outstanding land-based revenue liabilities are fully settled.
Citing Section 104 of the Personal Income Tax Act and Section 24 (1, 2, and 3) of the Kaduna State Tax Codification and Consolidation Law, she affirmed that KADIRS was legally empowered to carry out the enforcement.

Hajiya Aysha Ahmed urged taxpayers to fulfill their constitutional duty by paying taxes promptly, enabling the government to provide essential services and infrastructure for the people of Kaduna State.
