National Agency For Food and Drugs Administration, NAFDAC has sealed off a Warehouse -Amanant.com in Kaduna.

 

 

This is contained in a release made available to newsmen by the Director, Investigation and enforcement at the Agency, Pharmacist Shaba Mohammed.

The statement explains that acting on a tip-off, NAFDAC investigation and enforcement team conducted an intense surveillance that led to the discovery of several expired items, worth over seventy-five million naira.

It maintains that the expired items include biscuits, diary milk, vegetable oil, soft drinks among others.

The statement points out that during the operation, workers of the warehouse were found removing the expired biscuits from its original packaging materials into sacks.

 

 

It discloses that the Managing Director has been arrested for interrogation, while stringent regulatory sanctions will be imposed as deterrent to others at the end of investigation.

The statement advises the public to be vigilant while purchasing regulated products and promptly report any suspicious activities of fraudulent people to the nearest NAFDAC office.
