Niger State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commiserated with Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and people of the state over the tanker explosion that claimed several lives at Dikko junction, on Abuja-Kaduna expressway

 

In a statement in Minna, the Chairman Niger state Chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Most Reverend Bulus Dauwa Yohanna assured the Governor that the entire Christendom is in solidarity with him in this difficult times.

 

According to the Chairman who is also the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese “we are deeply saddened by the devastating incident, we stand in solidarity with the state Government in this difficult time.

 

He however explained that the explosion is worrisome, heartbreaking and unfortunate; stressing that we specifically sympathise with the Governor, and the families of the victims of the explosion.”

 

The Clergy man further prayed the Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and heal the injured.

 

Bishop Yohanna also commended the government’s efforts in responding to the emergency and providing support to the affected families and those still hospitalised.
