Former Zamfara State Governor, Abdul’azeez Yari Abubakar, has donated 23 million naira and 105 bags of food items to victims of the recent airstrike by the Nigerian Air Force in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement issued to newsmen, the Chairman of the Publicity Committee for the former Governor’s political organization, Ibrahim Muhammad, stated that the donation was made during a condolence visit to the Emir of Maradun, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari, at his palace.
Alhaji Abdul’azeez Yari Abubakar, who is also the current Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, was represented by the Federal Commissioner at the National Population Commission in Zamfara State, Alhaji Muhammad Muttaƙa Rini. He described the incident as the will of Allah.
He called on the families of the deceased and the injured victims to view the incident as a destiny that could not be averted.
The Senator explained that, under the relief package, each family of the deceased would receive one million naira and five bags of food, while injured survivors will receive five hundred thousand naira and two bags of food each.

Alhaji Abdul’azeez Yari Abubukar assured residents of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to restoring peace and stability in Zamfara and the entire Northwest region.
Responding on behalf of the victims, the Emir of Maradun, Alhaji Garba Muhammad Tambari expressed gratitude to the Senator’s gesture, emphasising that, it will go a long way in cushioning the condition of the victims.
The Emir described Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar’s intervention as a clear testimony of his positive response to the yearnings of his Constituents at all times.
It could be recalled that Victims of the unfortunate incidence were mostly from Kakindawa village of Gidan Goga District in Maradun Emirate, Zamfara State.
