Bauchi State Governor, Bala Muhammed has disengaged five commissioners from his cabinet as part of a strategic effort to reinvigorate governance and ensure optimal service delivery to the people of the state.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, said the affected commissioners include Dr. Jamila Dahiru, Ministry of Education, Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.
Others are Comrade Usman Danturaki Ministry of Information and Communication, Professor Simon Madugu Yalams Ministry of Agriculture, as well as Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza Ministry of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation
According to the statement, the move reflects the administration’s commitment to injecting new ideas and energy into governance in line with the governor’s vision of strengthening the machinery of government and addressing emerging challenges effectively.
Governor Mohammed extended his profound gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their dedication, service, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of Bauchi State.
He acknowledged that their efforts were instrumental in advancing key initiatives and policies of his administration.
In a related development, the governor has forwarded the names of eight nominees for security clearance and subsequent confirmation as honorable commissioners.
The nominees are Isa Babayo Tilde from Toro Local Government, Abdullahi Mohammed Misau Local Government, Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi Dass Local Government, and Usman Usman Shehu Shira Local Government.
The rest are Iliyasu Aliyu Gital Tafawa Balewa Local Government, Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah, Tafawa Balewa Local Government, Adamu Babayo Gabarin, Darazo Local Government, and Dr. Mohammed Zayam from Toro Local Government.
