The Jigawa State House of Assembly has passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill, allocating over 698 billion naira for state government services and 184 billion naira for the services of the 27 local government councils.
This followed the presentation and adoption of the report by the House Standing Committee on Appropriation.
Presenting the report, the Committee Chairman, Alhaji Hamza Adamu Ibrahim, who represents Malam Madori Constituency, noted that all standing committees of the House had thoroughly reviewed the budgetary provisions of each ministry and agency, making necessary adjustments or additions to the budget content.
According to him, the committees, in collaboration with various stakeholders, including civil society organizations, conducted a validation exercise to arrive at a comprehensive budget document for presentation to the plenary session.
Following unanimous consent through voting, the Speaker of the House, Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, announced the passage of the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law.
