Governor Malam Umar Namadi has been honored with the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Diamond Prize for Excellence in Food Security and recognized as a Patron of the Institute.

Office of the Head of the Civil Service/Office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, says in Statement to Radio Nigeria.
The award, given during NIPR’s 60th Anniversary Ceremony, acknowledges the Governor’s outstanding achievements in agriculture.
National President of NIPR Dr. Ike Neliaku, lauded Governor Namadi for his transformative contributions to Jigawa State’s economy and the improved livelihoods of its residents, earning praise from neighboring regions and beyond.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Namadi thanked NIPR and pledged ongoing collaboration with the Institute.
He affirmed the Jigawa State Government’s dedication to meeting citizens’ expectations and maintaining a positive public image through effective communication.
After the ceremony, Governor Namadi held discussions with Dr. Ike Neliaku, the Governing Council, and senior NIPR members about the newly launched Reputation Perception Index (RPI) Project and ways to improve communication between leaders and citizens.
The Governor was accompanied by the Honorable Commissioner of the Ministry of Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed.
