The New Commissioner of Police (CP) in Kano, Salman Dogo Garba,assumes office with a promise to ensure adequate security of lives and properties in the state.
At a farewell ceremony organized to honor his predecessor, AIG Mohammad Hussein Gumel, CP Dogo solicited the support and cooperation of officers, men, and the general public to achieve this objective.
AIG Gumel, who was recently promoted, thanked the officers and men of the Kano Police Command for their support during his tenure, urging them to extend the same support to the new CP.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of awards to police officers, men, and philanthropists for their contributions to promoting peace in the state.
The Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano Chapter, presented an award of excellence to AIG Gumel for his outstanding performance during his tenure.
With the new CP at the helm, the Kano Police Command is expected to intensify its efforts in combating crime and ensuring a safer Kano for all.
