Jigawa Speaker Praises Gov Namadi’s Non-Interference in Legislative Affairs

The Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, says that Governor Umar Namadi’s administration has not interfered with legislative activities since its inception.

The Speaker, commenting on Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s one year in office during an interview with newsmen in Dutse, said that the current administration had achieved unprecedented development for the people over the past year.

Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin explained that the present administration had employed 6,368 youths as teachers and health workers while the Governor gave directive for absorption of 1,500 youths under the J-Health and J-Agro programmes each as well as additional 3000 youths under the J-Teach programme.

According to him, the Legislature has recently passed laws for the establishment of eight agencies including Senior Secondary Education Management Board, Jigawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency, Hizba Board, Tsangaya School Management Board among others for the development of the state.

He pointed out that, Governor Umar Namadi’s led administration has shown greater commitment to wheat farming leading to bumper harvest.
