Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has engaged stakeholders, including the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Immigration, and Customs, among others, to educate and enlighten the pilgrims on the dangers of carrying prohibited items to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Head of Research, Planning and Documentation, Alhaji Arab Sabo Aujara disclosed this during an interview with Radio Nigeria at the board’s headquarters in Dutse.

He called on the state intending Pilgrims to be patience and security conscious and conduct themselves in an orderly manner while at the Hajj camp and airport.

While commenting on exchange rate, Aujara urged the intending pilgrims to deal only with the officials of the board on issues concerning money exchange while in Saudi Arabia.

He also urged them not to deal with any person concerning gold tooth fixing in order to avoid falling victims of dubious people in Madina.

Arab Sabo Aujara pointed out that, the board had secured a befitting accommodation for its pilgrims close to Masjid Haram.

He urged the state intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors and abide by the laid down rules and regulations of the Saudi authorities.
