The Nigerian Air Force says its dedication to safeguarding its assets and reclaiming encroached lands will assist in creating space for future operational facilities and accommodations for its growing workforce.

In a statement, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar made the statement at the unveiling ceremony of fifteen significant infrastructural projects in commemoration of the sixtieth anniversary of the NAF, held in Abuja.

Signed by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the Air Chief explained that the commissioning of the projects aligns with his transformative agenda to reposition the Force for continued growth and development.

According to him, these advancements not only bolster NAF’s operational capabilities, but also significantly elevate the welfare of its personnel, while ensuring that the force was well prepared to confront future challenges.

Some of the key projects commissioned and located at NAF base Asokoro, include a 40-bed NAF hospital Asokoro, a sports complex, the NAF Microfinance bank, a fire bay, and a 56-shop market plaza, among others.
