Nigerian Hunters Seek Enhanced Forest Security

Securing Forests and maintaining law and order have been identified as a major catalyst for promoting security in Nigeria.

The Commander Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service NHFSS, Kano State Command, Alhaji Abdullahi Al-Ameen made the indication in Kano.

He stressed that NHFSS Kano would not relent in its efforts to secure and safeguard forests to achieve the desired objectives.

Abdullahi highlighted that in addition to securing the forests for security purposes, the command is working assiduously to safeguard Plants and Animals due to their importance.

” To the lives of the people especially on trade-medicinal impact and for wild live conservations”he said.

The State Commander further reiterated the determination of the Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service to collaborate with all relevant Security Agencies and Stakeholders in discharging its responsibility through sensitization and informing the public.

He urged Kano residents to complement government efforts by preserving and protecting forests and desisting from indiscriminate cutting of trees and illegal hunting.

The state command maintained that NHFSS would ensure that forests are fully preserved and secured for the benefit of humanity, pointing out that green leaves play vital role in human existence.

Abdullahi commended the State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for providing seedlings for tree planting which he described as a giant initiative for climate change control in the State

“Am appealing to the Ministry of Environment to ensure the sustainability of the planted seedlings”he added.
