Kaduna State Government has introduced new innovations in land transaction including biometric capturing process which requires National Identification Number NIN in all land offers by the government.
Director General of the Kaduna Geographic Information System KADGIS, Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim announced this at the flagg-off of allocation Letters to One Thousand One Hundred and Thirty Three Land Holders under the Thirty Percent Land Swap compensation policy for construction of Mando Rigasa Link Road Layout.

He said the land Swap was aimed at relieving the plight of the affected landholders who would continue to enjoy complete waiver of application processing fees of Twenty Thousand Naira and premium of Five Hundred Naira per Square Meter.
The Director General said the land documentation has been made easier and quicker for the land owners to acquire documents and the biometric process was to ensure that no one is short change because apart from other relevant features, a passport photograph of the owner will be captured.
Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim noted that Government was quiet mindful on the tireless effort of the traditional leaders in working closely with KADGIS staff in achieving the laudable milestone towards developing of the state.

In a remark, the District Head of Rigasa Mallam Umar Idris who commended government for the newly introduced innovations urged the government to expedite action in addressing land issue at Tsaunin Kura community and the military operation ground which are all in his jurisdiction.
