Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has assured that the welfare and security of corps members deployed to the state will be accorded priority.

Addressing the over two thousand (2,233) 2024 Batch “A ” stream ll ,corps members at the NYSC orientation camp , Yikpata Edu local government area , Governor AbdulRazaq said his administration has been giving adequate support and assistance to the management of NYSC in executing all its progranmmes in the state.

Represented by the senior adviser/ counselor, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, the governor said in 2019, the facility was an eyesore, adding that the state government has greatly improved on the facility as part of efforts to make life more conducive.

He advised the corps members to always present themselves as worthy ambassadors of their various families and the NYSC scheme.

The governor charged them to be
purposefully involved in all camp activities such as the physical training, paramilitary drills, lectures, citizenship and leadership training.

Earlier in his address of welcome , the state Director of NYSC, Mr Onifade Olaoluwa, thanked the governor for donating one thousand (1,000) mattresses to the camp, approving the second phase of the perimeter fencing of the camp and provision of meal subsidy for corps members as well as the fumigation of the orientation camp.

He called for additional support and speedy completion of the perimeter fencing for greater efficiency at the camp.
