NSCDC Calls For Increased Vigilance In Kwara State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara state command has urged the residents of the state to remain vigilant and support security agencies with information to enhance their operational capacity.

The state Commander of the Corps Commandant Umar Mohammed made the call during the inauguration of a new divisional office in Ipee town, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

He said the recent rise in security challenges in the state required More collaborative effort of all stake holders.

Commandant Umar explained that the establishment of the division will no doubt improve operational efficiency of the Corps and reduce possible threats to peaceful coexistence.

He pledged to work tirelessly to address security challenges and ensure a safer and more secured environment for all residents.

Commandant Umar noted that security is a collective responsibility adding that everyone must play his part in keeping their community safe .

In a remark , the Deputy Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Honorable Olayiwola Oyebode, commended the state government for contributing towards reducing crime to the barest minimum in the state.

He urged the Commandant to deploy additional personnel to the new division to bolster the safety and security measures in the area

In his address the Onipe of Ipee, Oba Lawal Mufutau Adebayo Titiloye III, expressed gratitude to the Corps for its steadfast and dedication towards ensuring the safety of the community.
