He urged the federal government to withdraw the policies especially fuel subsidy removal which resulted to high  inflation of commodities and transportation.

Radio Nigeria reports that the peaceful protest commenced at the Dutse Central Eid prayer ground, then proceeded through major streets of the metropolis, and concluded at Government House Dutse, where the NLC leadership presented their stance on fuel subsidy removal.

Addressing the protesters, the Jigawa state Governor Mallam Umar Namadi promised to deliver the labour Union’s needs to the federal government for action.

Represented by the State Deputy Governor, Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel, called on the protesters to be calm and be law-abiding.

He appreciated the cordial working relationship that exists between NLC and the state government.
