Kano Hisbah, KAROTA Collaborate On Road Safety, Traffic Control

Motorist and other roads users,
have been urged to obey traffic rules traffic rules, to minimize road accidents in the state.

The Commander General Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, made the call while receiving the Managing Director of Kano State Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), at hisbah headquarters Sharada Kano.

According to him, obeying road traffic rules is in line with Islamic teachings, on protection of lives and properties.

Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa pointed out that, Kano state hisbah board under the present administration, would collaborate with KAROTA, to organize a senstization campaign on traffic control.

” would no doubt reduced the rate of accidents on major roads,in which lives and properties were lost, the Sensation campaign would be targeted towards minimizing, excess speed while flying roads, reckless driving, at the traffic lights, or corners, and round about”

The commander general highlighted that, preparations were in top gear, to redeploy hisbah personnel to major roads, markets, mosques and schools.

Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), Alhaji Faisal Mahmoud Kabir explained that, they were at hisbah to solicit and collaborate, in areas of educating the public on how to avoid road accidents, over speed and maintaining law and order.

He also appealed to the board, to set up a special Da’awa unit, across ministries and departments in the state, which he said, would go a long way in curtailing societal vices.

Faisal used the opportunity, to inform the hisbah commander general that, KAROTA had intercepted 3 cars, loaded with assorted bottles of beer along Zaria – Kano road.
