KNHA Constitutes 38 House Standing Committees

Kano State House of Assembly (KNHA), has constituted thirty eight standing committees, to pilot the affairs of the house.

The formation of the committees, was announced during plenary session, presided over by the speaker Alhaji Isma’il Jibril Falgore.

Announcing the names and members of the committees, the speaker Alhaji Ismail Jibril Falgore pointed out that, those inaugurated includes health, education, pension, culture and tourism, women children and disable, information, public petition, transport, emergency and relief among others.

In another development, KNHA has called on the state government, to upgrade Kiru comprehensive clinic to the status of a general hospital.

This was sequel to a motion, moved by member representing Kiru constituency , Alhaji Usman Abubakar Tasi’u, supported by the lawmakers.

Similarly, the house has adopted a motion, by member representing Rano local government area, calling on the state government to renovate Rano water treatment plant, to alleviate water scarcity in the area.

Meanwhile, member representing Minjibiri, Alhaji Abdulhamid Abdul Minjibir, presented a motion on the need to reconstruct the road from Minjibir-Amsharo- Gwagwata-Tsakuwa-Kankarawa-Tsalle-Bawuri-Larabar Narogo.

Others who presented motions include lawmaker representing Karaye, Ibrahim Ahmed, who highlighted the need to establishment a College of Education, to uplift the standards of education in the area.

Similarly, member representing Tarauni, presented a motion of urgent public importance, due to an unfortunate incident that happened few days ago at Dan Tsinke, Darmanawa ward Tarauni local government area, where some unpatriotic Nigerians, dug up three graves and carted away three dead bodies.

The majority leader, Alhaji Lawan Hussaini Dala, supported the motion, and emphasized the need to provide solar lights, and adequate security across grave yards in the state.

The house adjourned its sitting to Monday July 31st, in a motion moved by the majority leader, Lawan Hussaini Dala.
