‘Army Repositions Commanders on Contemporary Security Challenges’

Nigerian Army says it’s committed to supporting the civil authority towards ensuring the maintenance of law and order in the country.

The Chief of Army Staff, Major general Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja gave the assurance at the end of a three Day seminar for capacity development of Nigerian Army Senior commanders, held at the eight Division Nigerian Army Sokoto state.

The chief of army staff who was represented by Commander, Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command Maj Gen Ayanuga said the seminar which was tagged “Second Senior Command and Leadership Seminar ,” was meant to repositioned the NA personnel in a bid to addressing the contemporary security challenges militating against the socio security and economic development of the country.

Major general Lagbaja said the seminar was also designed to enrich the knowledge of the participant towards addressing both administrative and operational challenges

The chief of Army Staff was optimistic that the seminar has enhanced the reasoning capabilities of the participating commanders for improved leadership in every aspect of military duties.

He urged the participants to take back to their various commands, the knowledge
acquired for the benefit of the Nigerian Army and the Armed Forces in general.

Radio Nigeria in Sokoto report that the participants were drawned from north east, north west and north central geo political zones.
