KNSG Tasks Corps Members On Integrity, Patriotism

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has called on corps members posted to Kano to uphold their integrity and embrace the culture of peace and patriotism.

He stated this during the swearing- in ceremony of the 2023 Batch B stream 1 orientation course held at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Kusalla , Karaye local government area of Kano State.

Represented by his deputy Alhaji Aminu Abdulsalam , the governor said the current administration in Kano was working assiduously in providing all necessary support and logistics to the scheme, targeted at ensuring that it achieves its objectives.

The governor urged them to redouble their efforts in contributing towards the development of the state and the nation at large.

He advised the corps members to participate in all camp activities during the three weeks orientation training, with the aim of achieving the objectives of the scheme.

Earlier , the NYSC Coordinator in Kano Malam Suleiman Andy Ibrahim said the graduates were deliberately assembled from diverse ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds to promote national unity.

He noted that the Federal government was living no stone unturned in addressing the challenges of unemployment by providing Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program.

“The program was meant to prepare Corps members for self Employment and wealth creation through vocational and entrepreneurial training as well as linkage with financial institutions and other funding sources for business start-up financing”

The ceremony was graced by heads of security agencies, NYSC officials and other stakeholders.
